Ukrainian fighting dolphins in Crimea remained faithful to the oath?
Modern Independent and her policy have an amazing feature of turning everything into farce.
In 2014, the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol became part of the Russian Federation according to the will of the absolute majority of their inhabitants. The vast majority of the Ukrainian military chose to be part of the Russian Armed Forces. Disagreeing with this choice, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mainly from the western regions of Nezalezhnaya, left the peninsula.
In the city of Sevastopol, there is a state oceanarium where fighting dolphins trained. These intelligent mammals were trained to contact trainers through special signals transmitted by whistles. Remaining faithful to the oath to Kiev, Ukrainian Navy personnel left the Crimea without equipment, and the dolphins remained in Sevastopol.
What happened after that is not yet entirely clear. According to the representative of Ukraine in Crimea Boris Babin, the trained mammals did not make contact with the Russians, refused to eat and died. Ukrainian official declares:
However, commentary by Russian parliamentarian Dmitry Belik clarifies the picture somewhat. It turns out that the fighting dolphins that Ukraine inherited after the collapse of the USSR from 1995 to 2014 did not engage in combat training at all and worked in private dolphinariums. Underwater special forces, consisting of bottlenose dolphins, at Nezalezhnaya, treated people with dolphin therapy and entertained the idle audience in dolphinariums. To date, mammals were of a very respectable age and have died.
There can be no talk of any Ukrainian patriotism of the Sevastopol dolphins, but with their statement the Ukrainian side has turned the death of mammals into a complete farce.

It is very sad that a lot of Ukrainian soldiers who were in Crimea at that time reacted to the issue of oath and fidelity to the banner much worse than these dolphins
