The second is directly related to the attempt of the American "aces" to compete with the Russian Aerospace Forces. It turned out very shameful ... These cases provide an excellent opportunity to talk about the current state of the United States Air Force. And at once I will make a reservation for amateurs to say something a little indignant: “We must write about our problems!” - We will also have a comparison with the domestic army. Without fail. The pilot of the F-16 fighter who missed over the Aomori Japanese prefecture or “accidentally dropped” an imitation missile at a settlement while practicing an attack on a conditional ground target certainly demonstrated “high professionalism”. According to the American warriors, the shell was five kilometers from the area designated for the exercises - the Misawa training ground. Moreover, at the time of writing this article, the Americans still could not find it. However, we can say that the unfortunate pilot just continued the "glorious" traditions of the US Air Force, from time to time throwing all sorts of extremely unpleasant "surprises" on the heads of the Japanese. And moreover, mind you, without any war. Let me remind you that, for example, in 2017, the same F-16 that flew all the same from Misawa caught fire right in the air. The pilot, without further ado, to provide himself with a safer landing, dropped, without having to figure out where, hanging fuel tanks, which, of course, could also erupt. In the end, two tanks with a “fuel” of one and a half tons each were “splashed down” in the local Lake Ogawara, an incredible miracle without having to go to hell the fishermen who were there at that moment. And the porthole from the American military helicopter SN-53 crashed at about the same time and did at all to the school sports ground of the city of Ginovan in Okinawa. One of the kids was seriously injured.

In total, American pilots in 2017 I mentioned only in Japan alone became the authors of 25 different state of emergency and disasters. To the great "joy" of the local population, of course. Therefore, it is not surprising that the current case may well become the notorious last straw that will overwhelm the Japanese patience. For example, European expert in international law Klaus Hoff has already predicted that, most likely, “under the next petition on the inadmissibility of the operation of US military bases in Japan, millions of its citizens across the country will sign.” Well, a European lawyer can also be understood - American "flyers" have earned the most nasty glory not only in Asia (for example, in the same South Korea, where the accidents caused by them led to human casualties), but also in Europe. First of all, naturally in Germany. "Drop" on German soil all the same F-16 has become for the US Air Force the usual thing! The last such incident occurred quite recently, literally last month. Then the fighter from the Spangdahl air base crashed in western Germany, fortunately, without destruction and casualties. In 2015, for example, a similar incident with the same fighter in Bavaria, near the city of Kroisen, ended in a rather wild forest fire. The Germans extinguished him by force ...

Generally speaking, “attacking falcons” (the F-16 fighter has such a pretentious name), five years ago, which were the number one combat vehicle in the world in terms of prevalence, have recently begun to look more and more like natural flying coffins. Well, according to the practical results of their operation. Since their adoption, about 1 accidents have occurred that cost the lives of more than two hundred pilots. And at the same time - another hundred people who found themselves “in the wrong place, at the wrong time” and fell under the “falcons” who had blown up from the sky. For comparison, the combat losses of this vehicle, which fully participated in many local conflicts, do not reach 700 units. At the same time, “ahead of the rest” in terms of accident rate, which is characteristic, is not Arab, Asian or European poor countries, often buying these cars in a very used state, but just the American Air Force. This year, for example, they fell not only in Germany but also in France (although the F-200 of the Belgian Air Force crashed there), as well as in the United States itself. But if only they! The accident of the US Air Force over the past five years is growing at a rapid pace, leading not only to super-expensive losses equipmentbut also the deaths of the pilots. So, in 2014 there were 13 such incidents, and almost half of them occurred for some reason in a rather short period of the beginning of the year. Helicopters also fought - from the UH-60 Black Hawk to the marine "transporter" MH-53E "Sea Dragon", and aircraft. Mostly F / A-18, but a couple of Harrier were on the list.

In the next year, 2015, the situation has not changed for the better. The same 13 catastrophes, marked, moreover, by the broadest geography - in Great Britain, Germany, Afghanistan, the Persian Gulf, and in the USA itself. Again fell F / A-18 of various modifications, but the sad "palm" has already begun to conquer the F-16. On the other hand, transport planes and helicopters, as well as scouts, also suffered a disaster. The year 2016 was, seemingly, more successful - only 8 officially recognized emergency situations, which led to aircraft losses. However, as a sin, he was noted for particularly wild incidents. On January 14, two helicopters collided in the night sky, flying from one air force base, and on May 26, two F-18s managed not to miss the Atlantic. Moreover, on the same day, June 2, two US Air Force fighters crashed at different points in the country. However, if there was a decrease in accident rate, someone at the Pentagon breathed a sigh of relief, then not for long. Last year, 2018 was for the US Air Force truly “black”, a record in the number of tragic incidents. 23 crashed combat vehicles, 36 dead pilots ... Again F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22. Again the wildest state of emergency - a collision in the air of a fighter and a tanker. And in addition, several accidents of helicopters and transport aircraft, which led to numerous casualties on board the military. In addition, the latest F-35 has already been “marked” in this “black list” ...

When I see broken wings ...

As promised, I will provide relevant statistics on the Russian Aerospace Forces. So: 2014 - four disasters in which two MiG-29s (one training), MiG-31, and a combat training aircraft Yak-130 crashed. Three pilots died. One of them until the last tried to save the car ... 2015 - 6 serious accidents. Two MiG-29s, two Su-24s, Su-34s and a strategic Tu-95MS bomber were lost. Six dead pilots. There were also two incidents with the rolling out of combat vehicles outside the runway, however, they did not lead either to the loss of aircraft or to the death of pilots. In 2016, 4 cars crashed - two Su-25 attack aircraft, Mig-31 and Su-27 fighters. Two pilots were killed, and the Su-27 pilot from the Russian Knights group deliberately refused to bail out, taking the falling plane from residential buildings ... The same year was marked by a truly unprecedented tragedy - the crash of the Russian Ministry of Defense Tu-154, killing 92 people. In 2017, there were only three accidents. The Yak-130 combat trainer, the Mig-31 fighter, and the An-26 military transport aircraft crashed, in the accident of which one soldier died. There are no more victims. The year 2018 has become more tragic - 11 emergencies, 6 of which were plane crashes that killed 50 people. Such a high number of victims is explained by the accident of the An-26 military transport in Syria, in which 39 people died right away. Other accidents occurred, mainly with training and training aircraft. Also, two helicopters crashed - attack Ka-52 (in Syria) and Ka-29. In both cases, the pilots died, as did the pilots of the first lost Russian air force Su-30SM, who did not return from departure to Khmeimim. Alas, the war collects its terrible tribute not only in battles ... I will make a reservation - military losses in the same Syria were not taken into account when calculating, as, incidentally, in the case of the US Air Force. This is a completely different topic.

As for the losses of non-combat, then here everyone can draw conclusions independently. Wisdom is small - at the level of elementary arithmetic. As you can see, the reliability and power of the US Air Force for decades in fear of the whole world is causing more and more doubts. According to Pentagon representatives themselves, the real level of their combat readiness is extremely low - out of the same F-18s, one-third of the existing, and, say, strategic B-1B Lancer bombers can be involved in real tasks! However, there is also the F-35 Lightning II - hope, so to speak, and support. But for some reason, quite strange messages come from the United States regarding this machine. Namely, a report that the US Army is "testing" a multi-role fighter, following which ... "a decision should be made on its mass production!" In any case, that’s exactly what the US Army lieutenant colonel Ryan Tulin said, to which the reporting news American Defense blog. According to the military, the US Air Force urgently needs to "replace obsolete fighters, such as the US Air Force F-16 and A-10, the US Navy F / A-18, as well as the UK Harrier GR attack aircraft." The only alternative for today is the ultra-expensive and, to put it mildly, very problematic F-35 Lightning II. And now, what’s strange - they have been producing it for a long time, and they began to take it into service as early as 2015, but only now they were talking about some new tests and “decision making”. Is it really true that the story is now walking on the Internet about how clever men from a certain German company gathered a radar almost on their knees, with the help of which they easily "spotted" a couple of "invisibles" in the sky above themselves ?! Thus proving that all the praised "stealth technology", which is the main advantage of the F-35, is an empty bluff. Well, I don’t know, but for some reason the Germans shy away from this “miracle of technology” like hell from incense ...

In no case do I gloat over the crashed American fighter jets, and, even more so, the pilots who died while doing so. On the other hand ... "When I see broken wings, there is no pity in me, and for good reason ..." - remember? Vladimir Vysotsky wrote this for a completely different reason, but it was too consonant. All of these “attacking falcons”, “hornets”, “lightning bolts” and others were created to “bring democracy” to our land. But in fact - to sow death on it. Therefore, the news that the US Air Force the further, the more they turn into a pile of scrap metal, forever chained to the ground, does not give rise to universal grief in me. But the message that while the F-16 pilot dropped training bombs where he didn’t hit, literally nearby, over the Sea of ​​Japan, our handsome “White Swan”, having lightly turned on the afterburner, left with his nose two knocked out of strength in an attempt to catch up with his “latest” F-35, causes sincere joy and pride. And also - confidence in the future.

    To compete with the Americans in the amount of weapons, including aircraft, for the Russian Federation is also not yet possible - there are neither funds nor industrial capacities. Therefore, we must go by way of quality overtaking in key types of weapons, which is being done, as well as quality training of specialists who are able to use this technique in its entirety. That is, not to catch up, but to respond asymmetrically. Only in this way can even the huge quantitative advantage of the enemy be nullified. The idea is not new - this is the road along which the Third Reich, which was not able to compete with the USSR and the USA in terms of industrial production, but was able to produce equipment of a qualitatively different level, went at one time. But the Germans then had people and technologies for this, but there was no resource and raw material base. The Russian Federation has the first, second, and third. Still, the German order in all this - in general, miracles would have been achieved, but ... there is still a problem with this.
