Trump's “Cadillac” turned into an APC with a grenade launcher and a gun

The presidential motorcade is in some way the face of the state that it represents. There is much to say about the “iron horse” about its owner, his taste and habits, and his attitude to society.

For example, for American President Donald Trump, automakers have developed a new personalized Cadillac car under the modest name of The Beast. The developers have provided in its design even a grenade launcher and a cannon with tear gas, in fact, turning it into a combat vehicle. This armored car, equipped with oxygen tanks in case of a chemical attack and night vision system, even provides pump-action shotguns for the number one passenger so that he can shoot to the last bullet.

The current car for every day for Trump’s colleague Vladimir Putin is the so-called “luxury tank for the oligarchs”. His Mercedes S600 Pullman Guard is able to withstand an explosion with a capacity of 15 kilograms of TNT and reliably stores the first person of the state from shots from a powerful sniper rifle. Vladimir Putin’s Pullman Guard is made of high-strength steel and aramid, ensuring safety in protection class B6 / B7. Its doors are as strong as the doors of a bank safe in Switzerland. However, there are no grenade launchers and guns on the presidential limousine of Putin, and, as far as is known, no personal name has been given to the car.

For several years, work has been underway on the creation of a domestic automobile platform called “Cortege”, on which personal cars for top officials of the state will be created, as well as a whole line of crossovers and minivans. It is expected that the debut of the presidential "Cortege" may take place at the inauguration of Vladimir Putin on May 7, 2018.

The developers promise that the Russian limousine will be able to accelerate to 250 km per hour and gain speed up to 100 km per hour in 7 seconds. For the "Tuple" provides a whole line of engines that will provide him with such speed. The Porsche engineering unit was involved in the development of an 8-cylinder engine, while the Russian NAMI developed a super-powerful 12-cylinder engine with 4 turbines and an 8-speed automatic transmission in addition to it. They promise that ordinary Russians will be able to purchase sedans, crossovers and minivans created on the new Russian automobile platform from 2019.

An interesting fact is that Angela Merkel, whose country is world famous for her car industry, does not have her own personal car of a particular brand, and uses the BMW 7 Series or Audi A8L as necessary.
