In Syria, gunmen tried to attack C-300 "Favorite"

According to AMN, the "rebels", i.e. the terrorists fired several rockets from the Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) in the evening of July 21, 2019 in the direction of the city of Masyaf (halfway between the port of Tartus and the city of Hama). At the same time, allegedly, the S-300s deployed in this area were under fire. However, “thanks to the air defense systems deployed in the Tartus province,” the missiles did not achieve their goals.
We remind you that standard ammunition for the Grad MLRS fly at distances of 1,6 km. up to 40 km. What exactly they shot is unknown. Therefore, there is a high probability that the released ammunition flew past the targets, their flight was monitored, but no one shot them down.
It should be noted that on July 1, 2019, the S-300 air defense systems, which Moscow transferred to Damascus in October 2018, were finally deployed and fully ready for use. Syria now has three S-300 divisions (corresponding to a battalion), each of which has eight launchers.
In this regard, we sincerely hope that in the sky of Syria it will really soon become much calmer and safer.
