The US coast guard regularly detains various drug cartel boats in the Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico that seek to deliver various drugs (cocaine, marijuana, and others) to the richest market in the Western Hemisphere. And now, the US Coast Guard posted a video on a Twitter account that shows how agency officials board a “submarine” of drug dealers in the Pacific.

It should be noted that the camera used to record the video was mounted on the chest of one of the operatives who took part in the operation. Even U.S. President Donald Trump has responded to this video. He reposted the Coast Guard records and added his comments:

Can you believe in such courage?

The video shows how an operative jumps from his boat to a fast-moving semi-submersible vessel and begins to open the hatch. According to the American media, referring to the US coast guard, more than seven tons of cocaine and five smugglers were found inside the craft. The estimated value of the seized cargo is $ 232 million.

The US Coast Guard reminded that drug dealers, using such vessels, get an advantage because of their high speed and stealth. At the same time, boarding applied by an employee of the department is a very risky business. However, this is precisely what confirms the efforts made by him and his colleagues from the department to prevent the entry of prohibited substances into the United States.

The U.S. Coast Guard report says that these three security boats, in just two and a half months of 2019, seized more than 17 tons of cocaine and 400 kilograms of marijuana in international Pacific waters, which cost approximately $ 569 million.
