Revenge for C-400: US found a way to respond to Turkey

2
Russian S-400 anti-aircraft systems will be delivered to Turkey in the very near future. The fact of delivery itself no longer causes any doubt either in Russia, or in Turkey, or in the USA, which actively impede this process. Realizing that Ankara’s purchases of modern air defense systems in Russia could not be avoided, and the blackmail with the F-35 failed, Washington began to look for alternative options for pressure on the NATO ally. And his chosen path is fundamentally contrary to the ideology of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The United States intends to "toss the coals" into the smoldering conflict in Cyprus for many decades. Washington demanded that the Republic of Cyprus (Greek protectorate) refuse Russian warships to call at local ports. As a "carrot" Americans agreed to lift the ban on military supplies equipment and weapons for Nicosia. In response, however, Cypriot authorities called on the United States not to interfere in the domestic policies republics. And rightly so: it is Russia that becomes the force in the region that can prevent the resumption of the conflict with South Cyprus, which is supported by Ankara.

In parallel with this, the Americans announced their intention to radically expand military cooperation with Greece. The latter, by the way, is highly dependent on Washington and Brussels, which makes Athens' foreign policy extremely vulnerable.

It turns out that the United States is ready to unleash an indirect conflict between NATO allies - Turkey and Greece. Divide and conquer, a classic of the genre.
